Lately, several people have written and asked how I go about doing my sketches. Well, here's a picture of the tools of my trade! Generally, I love to draw with a Sakura Jelly Roll Fine pen....Once it gets going, the ink flow is great and it only takes a few seconds to dry. And the best part is that it's waterproof ink.....
Once I get that sketch all done, I usually take out my handy dandy refillable water brush pen. This is such a great tool because you can squeeze it to let just a bit of water out onto the portable watercolor set and right onto the paper. Once you're done, there's no clean up...just wipe the tip off and you're done! Hope this answers your questions out there everyone and I'll be looking for some cool watercolor sketches on your blogs soon!

Thanks again Chris, I didn't know the 'water brush pen' existed, wow, handy on the go, I bet. I'm heading to the art store right now.
Hi Chris, I am very new to watercolour and I am really struggling with colours. One questions: do you use the paint cakes you got when you bought the box or you customised the original set or maybe you simply mix the colours to get the appropriate result?
Great work but do how do keep your ink work from bleeding underneath your water colors? Great work! Do you use ball point pen or something else?
MMmmmmmmmm.... sketchbook!
I really love your sketches always! Thanks for telling us. I'd like to try water brush pen :)
