Commute Sketch- Jheri Curl!!!!

Today, the power of the Jheri Curl will be unleashed upon us. I saw this guy today on the train typing away on his laptop. He may or may not have been aware of his awesome coolness as his rampant jheri curl bobbed like slinkies on the train. Adding to the coolness was how wet and greasy the thing looked. I was just awestruck....How long did it take him to make it look like that every morning? Is he a mack-daddy chick magnet as he walks into a bar in the city? Lets all take a moment and bow before the Jheri Curl gods for unleashing this guy upon us today.

Hey Chris,
Really dig your character studies of commuters. There was a guy close to my old work who had an afro that was nearly a perfect sphere. The time he must have spent everyday to create it.

Brilliant, love your style, reminds me of the book illustrations I used to love as a child. This is the guy that must lean against the window and leave greasy marks so the next person can't see out!

Hi chris, your nice and loose scetches remember me how important it is to draw observational scetches outside of the studio to recharge the artistic batteries. Your batteries are fully loaded!
Keep up the good work!

That's a cool image, for a while I thought it may have been my brother you had drawn. But then you said the hair was all wet and gleaming, and I'm pretty sure my brother doesn't do that to his hair... yet. Great images, nice mood!

Hey everyone....thanks so much for the kind comments. drawing is one of those lonely kinds of activities where its just you and the page. So i am glad to see how many people like my work. I'll try to post as much as I can.
