San Francisco Sketch Part 2-Cool Lamp!

This was done during my lunch break outside of the Art Institute. It's located in the heart of Civic Center which is right next to the United Nations Plaza. This awesome lamp on the U.N. building caught my eye and I just had to christen my new Moleskine watercolor sketchbook by drawing this in it.

The lamp had great filigree details and a nice faded blue tint to it that just looked so european...it was really fun to drawn (and paint!)

I love how beauty can be found in the most mundane of things. Great work and great eye.
