Cafe Sketches

One of the things I find most relaxing when I am not working is going to a coffee shop or a bookstore cafe and sketching different sorts of people. I usually bring a black pen, a water brush, and my trusty Ipod. Especially at Starbucks, there is usually a steady stream of all kinds of people walking through. Some are leisurely, some in a hurry, some are either studying or deep in conversation. I also tend to bring a book and read for awhile if there's nothing to draw. This is a great way to exercise the drawing muscles, especially in these hectic computer days!

Cool sketches Chuman. The girl on the bottom looks like shes having some miso soup from a local sushi place that a bunch of guys from here frequent.... way too much. Im waiting for the caricature of Teddy. haha

This is the best time of the year to draw people at coffee shops. 'cause they all have neat sweater and scarves on, and you can draw steam coming from their coffee cups. Good to see you are still having fun with your drawings. Peace out homie!

CHUA...So good to know you're not that chris chua from "the drawing board". I was begining to feel sad that you had abandoned you're skills. I'm glad to see that i am wrong.

Dan: Good to hear from ya buddy! Stay out of trouble!

Matt: I'm glad I didn't disappoint. Hey what are the chances of more than 1 Chris
Chua in this small, god-forsaken industry, huh?

Heather: It's just like the old days when I'd come over to your cubicle and nag you!

Willy: They both realized I was drawing them then stared ME down!

Jenny: Thanks for the nice comments. Yeah, Dan was a cool cat. Last I heard, he relocated to Hawaii and started making animated music videos for Don Ho. Man, some guys have all the luck. Sigh....
